Wooden countertops

Still quite popular, this material reminds of the kitchen furniture’s charm of yesteryears, or adds a warm atmosphere to modern kitchens. We usually use cherry or birch wood for workstations. Due to its sensitivity to humidity, we advise not to install it near the sink.

We offer wooden countertops in different species

  • Mahogany
  • Oak
  • Cherry
  • Maple
  • Black walnut
  • Birch
  • Ash tree
  • Exotic wood species also available

Depending on the chosen wood specie, it is possible to have a selection of laminates that will completely change the look of your room.

Flat wood assemblage

This is the most wooden countertop built.  In this construction, multiple pieces of wood of the width between ¾” and 3 ½’’ are laminated. Wood lovers appreciate the authentic aspect of this assemblage that never goes out of style.

Coated Wood Assembly

The look of this assemblage gives the countertops a modern touch while maintaining the warmth effect so appreciated with the use of the wood. Here, 1’’ pieces of wood are assembled lengthwise. Might it be in a more common wood, like maple or oak, or in a more exotic one like jatoba, cumaru, or ipe, the results will always be breathtaking.

Assemblage in wood connectors

Often used in butcher’s blocks, the assemblage with wood connectors is made of wooden blocks of 1  5/8’’ x 1  5/8 glued together. Our clients particularly appreciate the checkboard effect it provides. This type of countertop is advantageously more rigid than the others.

For a kitchen island unit or a countertop, wood will always have this unique value.
